Mar 27, Wed.    LEAVE LOS ANGELES.    Depart Los Angeles non-stop to Osaka Kansai International Airport via Japan Airlines JL69.  En route, you will cross the International Date Line, arriving in Osaka, the next day.

Mar 28, Thu.    ARRIVE OSAKA - KYOTO  Upon arrival to Osaka, you will go through immigration and customs.  Shigeru Shinohara, your English speaking guide will be waiting for you in the Arrival Lobby and then you will be transferred to Kyoto. 

Mar 29, Fri.   KYOTO.   Full day sightseeing first visiting  Heian Shrine, with the beautiful Japanese Garden, then view Maiko Performance with tea at Maiko Theater in the morning.  Then to Arashiyama,   a visit to Gekkeikan Sake Brewery and Fushimi Inari Shrine, in the afternoon.    (B)

Mar 30, Sat.      KYOTO – AWAJI – NARUTO - TOKUSHIMA   Today after breakfast, exciting full day tour is planned for you.  We will be traveling by Chartered Coach via Awaji Kaikyo, stopping at the Westin Awaji for a buffet lunch, then to see the world famous Naruto Uzushio ‘whirlpool’ from a cruise ship and visit Otsuka Museum of Art, a hidden treasure in Naruto before arriving at our hotel for a restful night.  (B /L)

Mar 31, Sun.     TOKUSHIMA - TAKAMATSU-MATSUYAMA   A full day tour by Chartered Coach awaits us for Takamatsu.  First stop will be at Awaodori-Kaikan, a theatre where we can enjoy the ‘Awa Odori’, a popular local folk dancing.  We will take part in making Udon (noodle) and enjoy the lunch we prepare.  Then a visit to the famous ‘Ritsurin Garden’.  Our hotel is at Dogo Hot Spring area in Matsuyama.  Relax in a “Yukata” (Japanese casual kimono) for dinner at the Ryokan.   (B/L/D) 

Apr 01, Mon.    MATSUYAMA-YAWATAHAMA-BEPPU     Today, our Chartered Coach will take us to catch a ropeway to visit Matsuyama Castle before taking a Uwajima-Unyu Ferry from Yawatahama to Beppu Port.  Upon arrival at Beppu Port, we will visit “Umi Jigoku” (Natural Hot Springs) before settling in for the night.  Japanese dinner will be served at the hotel.   (B/D)

Apr. 02, Tue.   BEPPU – NAGASAKI  The first stop will be the famous Nagasaki China Town where we will enjoy the local dish for lunch,  Then to Oura Catholic Church and Glover Garden, stopping at 

Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Victims.    (B)

  

Apr 04, Thu.    NAHA OKINAWA  Today a full day tour by Chartered Coach takes us to Shuri Castle, Okinawa World, watch the Eisa Dance Performance.  Later we will end our busy day enjoying traditional dinner and dance at the Urashima Dinner Theatre.  (B/D)

Apr 05, Fri.      OKINAWA – FUKUOKA   This morning after breakfast, we will head to Naha Airport for a short domestic flight to Fukuoka.  Half a day tour by Chartered Coach is planned to visit Canal City and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.   (B)

Apr 06, Sat.     FUKUOKA – FREE DAY   After breakfast, you are free at leisure.   (B)

Apr 07, Sun.    FUKUOKA – OSAKA   After breakfast this morning, we will ride a bullet train from Hakata Station to Osaka.  Afternoon tour is planned for a walk through streets of Dotonbori, Osaka Castle, and Abeno Harukas, the tallest skyscraper in Japan.  A Farewell Dinner is planned tonight.   (B/D)

Apr 08, Mon.   OSAKA - KANSAI INT’L AIRPORT-LAX.     Our last breakfast together!  Morning is free until we check out and meet at the lobby for our drive to Osaka Kansai Int’l Airport.  We will board our non-stop flight JL60 back to Los Angeles.  We will re-cross the International Date Line, arriving home the same day.   (B)
