Day one - Tuesday, September 25, 2018 - travel to Vancouver
This morning you will travel to Vancouver, Canada. You’ll arrive just in time for a delicious lunch before enjoying a city tour with a local guide.  A highlight of our afternoon tour will be a visit to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver’s historic Chinatown. Tonight a welcome dinner will be hosted in a fantastic local Cantonese restaurant. (L, D)

Day two - Wednesday, Sept 26 -the story of Japanese-Canadians
A wonderful day of discovery begins at the small Japanese-Canadian National Museum. Afterwards, we’ll travel to Steveston, an important fishing community established by a vibrant Japanese-Canadians before the war. We’ll visit the area with a local guide. Afterwards we'll explore Alexandra Road, otherwise known as “Food Street” or “Wai Sek Kai” among locals. It’s a bustling commercial district heralded as a mecca for all things Asian, especially food. Although it’s only three blocks long, Alexandra Road is home to 200+ restaurants and a delicious world of dining experiences! (B, D)

Day three - Thursday, Sept 27 - Canada’s native people
This morning we visit the University of British Columbia to meet an expert on the native people of Canada’s west coast. You’ll visit an impressive anthropology museum and also see some of Canada’s finest aboriginal art. This afternoon, we’ll visit the UBC Botanical Garden with a local guide - one of the highlights will be a chance to see the Inazo Nitobe Memorial Garden, a Japanese Tea and Stroll Garden – considered to be one of the top-five Japanese gardens outside of Japan. Tonight, you’ll enjoy a fine Japanese meal in the heart of Vancouver. (B, L, D)

Day four - Friday, Sept 28 - the forest and the city
Our morning begins with a nature outing just outside the city, as we visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. A local guide will take us on a wonderful nature walk in the heart of a beautiful, cedar-scented rainforest. Afterwards we’ll return to Vancouver where you’ll have some free time to explore the
Granville Island district. This afternoon, we’ll take High Tea together at a local hotel. We’ll also visit Stanley Park in the heart of the city. Tonight, you’ll enjoy a fine farewell dinner together. (B, High Tea, D)

Day five - Saturday, September 29 - leisurely morning - return home
Today after a leisurely morning we’ll meet for a pre-departure lunch in a beautiful setting. Afternoon flights home. (Continental Breakfast - Brunch)
