OSAKA/KANSAI. On arrival and after entry procedures,
transfer will be provided April 3, Tue. OSAKA- HIROSHIMA. Today you will visit the Osaka
Mint Bureau, with over 300 cherry trees. Then to Osaka Castle. You will also visit the colorful area of Dotonbori. Then enjoy a
factory tour of Asahi Brewery, before boarding your bullet train to
Hiroshima. (B) April 4, Wed. HIROSHIMA – MIYAJIMA – IWAKUNI- HIROSHIMA Today you will visit Peace Memorial Park & Museum, then travel to Miyajima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. The island is home to Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also visit Kintaikyo Bridge. (B D) April 5, Thu. HIROSHIMA – KANAZAWA. This morning you will travel by rail to Kanazawa. On arrival visit Kenrokuen Garden, one of the most beautiful landscape gardens in Japan; Nagamachi Samurai district, where samurai and their families lived and Higashichaya Street, a historical entertainment area with tea houses where geisha performed. (B L) April 6, Fri. KANAZAWA – SHIRAKAWAGO – TAKAYAMA. Today you will travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shirakawago, a village known for a unique architectural style of gassho-zukuri. After lunch, continue to Takayama. (B L) April 7, Sat. TAKAYAMA. Sightseeing this morning begins with the morning market along Miyagawa River, then to Hachiman Shrine where Yatai floats are displayed. See an incredible miniature replica of the Toshogu (Nikko) Shrine; and walk along “Kamisannomachi,” where there are many eateries and shops for souvenir hunters. (B D) April 8, Sun.
TAKAYAMA – KYOTO. Depart for Kyoto by
rail. On arrival Kyoto sightseeing

torii gates along a April 9, Mon. KYOTO. Today you will visit Arashiyama, in the western outskirts of Kyoto, known for its beautiful scenery. You will also visit the stunning Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion). (B D) April 10, Tue. KYOTO. Full day at leisure. Optional tour available to Nara, or explore this exciting city on your own. (B) April 11, Wed. KYOTO – HAKONE. Today you will travel by train to the scenic hot springs resort of Hakone. On arrival you will cruise Lake Ashi, then ride the Hakone Ropeway. Afterwards visit Owakudani, a volcanic valley with active sulphur vents. Overnight in a ryokan (Japanese inn). (B D) April 12, Thu. HAKONE – TOKYO. Travel by rail to Tokyo. On arrival begin sightseeing at the bustling Nakamise Shopping Arcade that leads up to Sensoji Temple. Then to Skytree, the tallest free standing broadcasting tower in the world. Finally, visit the Imperial Palace Plaza. Special teppan yaki lunch in Ginza. (B L) April 13, Fri. TOKYO. Full day at leisure. Optional tours are available in Tokyo, but there are many things you can do on your own. Your guide can also offer suggestions.
