Oct. 14, Sat.  LEAVE LOS ANGELES.     Depart Los Angeles, nonstop to Kansai Airport in Osaka.   En route, we will cross the International Date Line, arriving the next day.

Oct. 15, Sun.  ARRIVE KANSAI AIRPORT/OSAKA - KYOTO.   Upon arrival at Kansai, proceed through immigration and customs.  Transfer by chartered motor coach to our hotel, and check in.  

Oct. 16, Mon.  KYOTO.   Enjoy sightseeing of important spots of interest. A special shabu shabu dinner is included tonight.      (B D)      
 
Oct. 17, Tues.   KYOTO.  Today is a free day to explore this culturally rich city on your own.  Suggestions will be given by your guide.      (B)                                                                           

Oct. 18, Wed.   KYOTO - ITAMI - AOMORI.  This morning we will transfer to Itami Airport, and take a domestic flight to Aomori. Today’s sightseeing will include the Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse and Tourist Information Center.    (B D)

Oct. 19, Thurs.  AOMORI - HIROSAKI - LAKE TOWADA.    Our full day tour will include the Sannai Maruyama Site and Hirosaki Castle.  Lunch on your own in Hirosaki, then  proceeding to Lake Towada. We will stop at the Kankodai Observatory Deck to enjoy the breathtaking view before continuing to our hotel for check-in.    (B D)
                                   

Oct. 20, Fri.    LAKE TOWADA - MT. HAKKODA - OIRASE - LAKE TOWADA.  This morning we will travel to Mt. Hakkoda, followed by lunch.  We will visit Oirase Gorge, Towada Shrine, and see the Two Maiden Statue. Dinner at our hotel is included.     (B L D)                                                                

Oct. 21, Sat. LAKE TOWADA - HACHIMANDAI - HIRAIZUMI - MINAMISANRIKU.  Today we will travel to Iwate Prefecture in the Tohoku region of Japan. Activities will include hands-on kiritanpo making, Koiwai Farm and Chuzenji Temple.  Then we will proceed to our hotel in Minamisanriku, where we will enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner.    (B D)

Oct. 22, Sun.   MINAMISANRIKU.  On this full day tour, we will have a unique opportunity to meet and interact with the local people, most of whom are survivors of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.  This will surely be a moving and meaningful exchange for all.   (B D) 

Oct. 23, Mon. MINAMISANRIKU - SENDAI.  This morning we will depart for Sendai by chartered motorcoach.  En route, we will stop at Kaminarisaki Cave, and proceed to Matsushima where we will enjoy a bay cruise and visit Zuiganji Temple.  (B L)   

Oct. 24, Tues.   SENDAI - TOKYO. We will depart Sendai, and transfer by bullet train to Tokyo. We will enjoy a special teppanyaki lunch, followed by afternoon sightseeing   before checking in to our hotel.    (B L)
                                    

Oct. 25, Wed. TOKYO.  Full day free to explore this exciting city on your own.  This evening we will enjoy our “farewell dinner” in the hotel.   (B D)                                                                                                     

Oct. 26, Thurs. HOMEWARD BOUND.    A free morning for last-minute sightseeing or shopping.  Afternoon transfer provided to Narita International Airport for your nonstop flight to Los Angeles, arriving home on the same day.   (B)
