Day 1, April 12, Monday - Los Angeles – Seattle, Washington
Our day begins with a short flight up the west coast to Seattle. Upon arrival, you’ll take in all of the sights of this impressive city including Pike’s Place Market, Pioneer Square and the Space Needle. We’ll also visit the Hiram Chittendan Locks which feature a remarkable “fish ladder” used by many species of fish (including Salmon) to navigate their way past the man-made locks. Tonight you’ll enjoy welcome dinner in Seattle. (D) Day 2, April 13, Tuesday - Sail to Victoria - Vancouver, Canada
Rise and Shine! An exciting day of sightseeing begins as we board the famous ferry Victoria Clipper for a breathtaking 2 hour and 45 minute sail through Puget Sound and the Juan de Fuca straight to the picturesque capital of British Columbia, Victoria. Upon arrival, you’ll see Victoria’s Parliament, the legendary Empress Hotel and visit the extraordinary Butchart Gardens. Later this afternoon we’ll travel via Ferry to Vancouver where dinner and a comfortable hotel await. (B,D) Day 3, April 14, Wednesday - Vancouver Today is an all-day sightseeing adventure in Vancouver where we will travel in and around town to view as many cherry trees as mother nature allows! We will visit Stanley Park. Queen Elizabeth Park, Granville Island (lunch here on own at Public Market), historic Gastown and many more fascinating sites within this remarkable city. Tonight you’ll enjoy dinner in the heart of Vancouver’s famous Chinatown! (B,D) Day 4, April 15th, Thursday - Vancouver This morning, we’ll visit one of the sites of the 2010 Winter Olympics in the heart of Vancouver and learn about the Winter Olympics. A short distance from downtown Vancouver is the town of Burnaby where we will visit the Japanese Canadian Museum which collects, preserves, interprets and archives the history of the Japanese Canadians from the 1870’s to the present. This afternoon, you’ll enjoy a change of pace as we visit the pristine scenery of British Columbia’s rainforest as we visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge. You’ll enjoy a cedar-scented walk through the rainforest, learn about local Native culture and will have the opportunity to walk the famous suspension bridge over the Capilano River. Tonight our farewell dinner awaits! (B,D) Day 5, April 16, Friday - Vancouver– Seattle – Los Angeles Today we will drive south to reenter the U.S., We will visit the Future of Flight Aviation and tour the Boeing factory then drive to the Seattle airport where we will catch our flight home to Los Angeles.
